Booking Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings for properties managed by Normanville Beach Co. (“Agent”, “we”, “us”).

By confirming a booking, the Guest agrees to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.

For bookings made via third-party platforms (including Airbnb, Booking.com and Stayz), the platform’s terms apply in addition to these Terms. In the event of inconsistency, the platform’s terms prevail to the extent required.


1. Booking & Payment

All direct bookings made via the Normanville Beach Co. website are processed securely via Stripe.

Full payment of the total booking amount is required at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing. A booking is not confirmed until payment has been successfully processed.

The Agent reserves the right to cancel a booking where payment is declined, reversed or otherwise unsuccessful.

All rates are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD) and include GST where applicable. Cleaning fees and any additional charges are clearly displayed prior to payment.

For bookings made via third-party platforms (e.g. Airbnb, Booking.com, Stayz), the relevant platform’s payment terms apply and prevail in the event of inconsistency.


2. Cancellation Policy (Direct Website Bookings)

The following cancellation terms apply to direct bookings:

• More than 14 days before arrival – 100% refund
• 7–14 days before arrival – 50% refund
• Less than 7 days before arrival – no refund

No-shows are treated as cancellations within 7 days and are non-refundable.

All cancellation requests must be made in writing to info@normanvillebeach.com.au.

Refunds, where applicable, will be processed to the original payment method within a reasonable timeframe.

Guests are strongly encouraged to obtain travel insurance.

Force Majeure

If a booking cannot proceed due to circumstances beyond reasonable control (including natural disasters, safety concerns, government restrictions or property damage), the Agent may cancel the booking and refund monies paid. The Agent’s liability is limited to the refund of the booking amount paid.

For third-party platform bookings, the relevant platform’s cancellation policy applies.


3. Maximum Occupancy

The total number of occupants must not exceed the number stated in the booking confirmation at any time.

Bookings exceeding the approved occupancy may be refused entry or terminated without refund.


4. Strict No Party / No Event Policy

All Normanville Beach Co. properties are strictly no-party and no-event properties.

The property must not be used for:

• Parties
• Events
• Functions
• Weddings
• Commercial activities
• Unauthorised gatherings

Only registered guests are permitted at the property unless otherwise approved in writing.

Excessive noise or disturbance to neighbours is strictly prohibited.

If the Agent reasonably believes this clause is breached, the Agent may:

• Require the activity to cease immediately
• Terminate the stay without refund
• Require all occupants to vacate
• Recover costs for cleaning, security attendance, damage or disturbance

Police or local authorities may be contacted where appropriate.

A breach of this clause constitutes a serious breach of these Terms.


5. Guest Responsibilities

Guests agree to:

• Leave the property in a reasonable and tidy condition
• Comply with all house rules
• Respect neighbouring properties
• Comply with local council regulations
• Promptly report damage, faults or safety concerns

Guests are responsible for any damage caused by themselves or their invitees.


6. Damage, Cleaning & Additional Charges

A separate security bond is not automatically charged unless specified.

However, Guests remain financially responsible for:

• Damage to property or contents
• Missing items
• Excess cleaning beyond normal use
• Rubbish removal
• Lost keys or access devices

Where additional charges apply, the Guest will be notified and provided with reasonable evidence (such as invoices or photographs) before charges are processed. Guests will be given a reasonable opportunity to respond.

The Agent reserves the right to recover unpaid amounts through lawful means.


7. Check-In & Check-Out

Standard check-in is from 2:00 pm.
Standard check-out is by 10:00 am.

Early check-in or late check-out may be offered at the Agent’s discretion and may incur additional fees.

Failure to vacate by the agreed time may result in additional charges.


8. Access

The Agent may enter the property without prior notice in the event of emergency, urgent repairs or safety concerns.

For non-urgent matters, reasonable notice will be provided where practicable.


9. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or other applicable legislation.

To the extent permitted by law:

• The Agent is not liable for loss or damage to personal belongings
• The Agent is not liable for temporary interruptions to utilities, internet or services
• The Agent is not liable for events beyond reasonable control

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the total booking amount paid.

Guests occupy and use the property at their own risk and must exercise reasonable care.


10. Indemnity

The Guest agrees to indemnify the Agent against any loss, liability or expense arising from:

• Breach of these Terms
• Negligent, unlawful or wilful acts by the Guest or their invitees


11. Privacy

Personal information collected during booking is used solely for the purpose of managing the stay and is handled in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

For bookings made via third-party platforms, the platform’s privacy policy also applies.


12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.


13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Australia.

The parties agree to attempt to resolve any dispute in good faith prior to commencing legal proceedings. Failing resolution, disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia.
